Description
- You'll lead the development of high-quality design projects across a wide range of print, digital and environmental needs for sales, marketing, communications, and events
- You'll guide projects through the entire design process, from initial briefs through design and production
- You'll manage work and guide other designers. You’ll assign tasks, provide direction and support to help build a positive culture and a high performing team
- You'll be an expert in our guidelines and systems, understanding their principles and how to implement them
- You'll work closely with — and often coach or train — other designers, to elevate the conceptual, technical, and creative performance of the team and build a positive and inspiring studio environment
- You'll leverage studio tools to track the status of work, organizing and maintaining files and internal systems, and proactively staing ahead of any issues
- You'll maintain relationships with marketing and design leaders, discussing projects and reviewing work and processes
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience in design or a related field
- 5-10 years of relevant work at a design, marketing or publishing company, or within a corporate design team
- An impressive portfolio with examples of your work
- Expertise in design software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, and basic proficiency in Figma
- Strong design skills, especially in layouts, typography and color, as well as flawless production skills including file setup, image optimization, color management and the basics of accessibility
- A strong command of the English language
- Passion for building robust, effective assets and systems
- A growth mindset; constantly tracking what's going on in the design world along with a natural desire to grow skills, improve our processes and methods and understand the businesses we operate in
- High attention to detail, in both the work and the workflow
- Strong communication skills, and an ability to facilitate conversations around problems, goals and tradeoffs, building confidence in ideas and methods clearly and concisely
- Experience leading and coaching other designers and contributing to the growth of those around you
- The ability to juggle multiple projects, work quickly and meet deadlines
