PURPOSE


  • The Interior Designer is responsible from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Liaising with Managing Director, Design Principal, Operations, Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Vendor / Suppliers, and other employees / departments (where appropriate)
  • Overseeing the assigned Interior Design Projects (overall, including adaptation of budget and adherence to timelines)
  • Overseeing the design for a client and ensuring that the design fits within the Client’s expectations and requirements
  • Maintaining the Project’s overall design direction and aesthetic
  • Managing the delivery and deliverables of the Project
  • Managing and mentoring more junior design staff
  • Responsible in the effective presentation of design proposals to the client.
  • Assist in the preparation of preparation of Professional Design Contract Proposals for Interior Design Projects
  • To seek continuing professional development. Research and update on latest industry standards, innovations, and best practices.
  • Contributing to the production of conceptual design ideas, undertaking research and development of schemes by way of free hand sketches, 3D Modelling & cad drawings
  • Assist in the production of contract documents, specifications and other documents relating to project
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations; to include renderings and material boards / mood boards
  • Selecting and presenting all Furnishing and Materials for approval of the Principal and the client
  • Reviewing of Project documents including drawings sketches schedules and specifications
  • Responsible for Project team and resources
  • Maintaining project files
  • To contribute or otherwise assist as required                                                                                                                                                                                               


QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Education

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, in Architecture or Interior Design Equivalent.
  • License Architect or Interior Designer


Minimum Experience/Training 


  • Preferably with 5 Years & Up experienced employee specialized in Architecture / Interior Design or equivalent.


Competency 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and self- starter
  • Programming abilities to extract information and produce reports
  • Knowledge of building and accessible codes
