What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- 5+ years experience in the communications and marketing sector.
- A demonstrated history of success in creating and executing marketing and communications plans in a not-for profit or commercial environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to collaborate and maintain professional working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong skills in digital marketing, social media, social advertising and website platform management, analytics, and tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to be a confident, energetic, and positive leader who contributes to organizational culture.
- Outstanding verbal, and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A bright, outgoing personality who enjoys team/stakeholder interaction and can demonstrate brand development / growth through marketing activities
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, influencing and people management skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in the non-profit or charity sector.
- Knowledge of video editing tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
What will you do?
Social Media Management
- Develop and execute engaging and creative social media marketing strategies aligned with Carers NT’s mission and objectives.
- Plan, create, and schedule content for Carers NT's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to measure success and refine strategies.
- Respond to comments, messages, and interactions promptly to maintain active community engagement.
Marketing Initiatives and Online Communications
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement marketing campaigns to promote programs, services, and events.
- Assist with designing and distributing email newsletters and announcements using Mailchimp.
- Support team members in creating and implementing surveys and feedback forms using SurveyMonkey to gather stakeholder insights.
- Coordinate and oversee promotional materials, including newsletters, brochures, and event collateral.
- Assist in the development of marketing content, including copywriting, graphic design, and video editing.
- Internal Communications
- Support internal communication efforts by drafting and distributing internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.
- Assist with creating and maintaining brand-consistent templates for internal and external use.
- Document Design and Formatting
- Provide support to team members by formatting and designing documents in Microsoft Word, ensuring professional and accessible layouts.
- Assist with creating and managing Microsoft Forms for surveys, registrations, and feedback collection.
