The Global RISE Cloud Advisory Team is part of SAP’s Customer Success organization. Within this team we are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to build out a new global Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (CAA) focused on driving scale in our ecosystem for the indirect channel. The Cloud Architect Advisor works predominantly in the pre-sales phase as a subject matter expert, acting as the primary point of contact for all technical topics related to a RISE with SAP S/4HANA private cloud deployment from a customer perspective. This new team will work especially closely with Sell Authorized Partners for RISE with SAP to technically support and drive our indirect pipeline for S/4HANA Cloud, private edition. They will be responsible for scaling our enablement, qualification and coaching of Partner Cloud Architects, as well as supporting large, complex, or non-standard indirect deals from a technical perspective. The role will work closely with both Partner and internal SAP teams to indirect customers for success on their cloud journey under RISE with SAP. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO 


This is a customer and partner facing role where you will support the SAP and Partner sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform and the core tasks of a Cloud Architect Advisor: 




  1. Advise customers (partners) on the SAP private cloud service and operational model, including roles & responsibilities, technical and infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity and network integration topics  






  1. Assess the technical feasibility of the customer’s requirements against SAP’s reference architecture and advise on best practice standards and hyperscaler platform requirements to support commercial pricing with other members of the Virtual Account Team 






  1. Transition customer technical requirements to SAP Enterprise Cloud Services for system provisioning and delivery  






  1. Communicate and engage with customers and their partners (usually to CIO’s, IT managers, data center managers and SAP Technology staff) via technical workshops and discussions  






  1. Work with Partner Ecosystem Success and Enterprise Cloud Services teams to provide ongoing enablement, qualification, coaching, guidance, and support to Partner Cloud Architects in accordance with SAP’s Compliance, Legal and Fair Trade guidelines and indirect private cloud sales process  






  1. Review the technical viability of Partner Cloud Architect performed Technical Assessments, and facilitate/interface between Partner Cloud Architects and SAP internal tools and systems for the Sales2Delivery Process 




 


WHAT YOU’LL BRING 




  • Customer empathy – an ability to exchange information with customers 1:1, in discussion teams or in presentation mode with clarity and an outward desire for successful outcomes 




  • Community management/collaboration –  an ability to communicate to and among multiple stakeholders and team members in time-sensitive and deadline-driven situations  






  • A keen desire to expand your knowledge quickly and apply new learnings in a fast moving environment in support of customers technical, commercial and operational cloud transformations 




  • An understanding of industry standard platform stacks (i.e. storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.) and cloud operating models   




  • Knowledge of the technical architecture of large cloud run companies, enterprise offerings, hyperscaler platforms is beneficial  




  • Fluency in English is required and any other language is an asset 




YOUR BACKGROUND 




  • Tertiary degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration required from an accredited university or equivalent institution 




  • Up to 3 years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience is an advantage 




  • Up to 3 years of solution design, enterprise architecture and/or SAP implementation is an advantage 




  • Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage 




  • ITSM, Service Design & Delivery experience/knowledge is an advantage
