We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, business administration, and financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the accounting functions and contribute to the financial operations of the company. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Senior Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP standards. Recruitment for this role is specifically for candidates located in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process, including accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Expense Management: Review and analyze expenses, ensuring proper coding and classification.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns, including sales tax and other state and local taxes.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and support compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Consolidation: Assist in consolidation processes for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion of audit procedures.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations, and work with management to implement solutions.
RequirementsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA (or pursuing) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with U.S. GAAP is required.
- Experience in the consolidation of financial statements for a multi-entity organization.
- Previous experience in the direct selling industry is strongly preferred.
- Big Four Experience is highly desirable
- Experience in consolidation and intercompany accounting is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Familiarity with foreign currency translations and global financial reporting requirements
- Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting.
- Knowledge of advanced accounting concepts such as revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC842)
