Description
Junior consulting position for those who are continuing to develop their expertise. Receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments.



As a member of a project team, follows standard practices and procedures to analyze situations/data and provide quality work products to deliver functional and technical solutions on applications and technology installations. Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying relevant Oracle methodologies and practices. Implements Oracle products and technology in various industries to meet customer specifications.



1-3 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Demonstrates competence in a minimum of one product or technology area. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Developer



  • 2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles.  Practice focus in IT consulting, systems development, offshore services is preferred.

  • Applied experience in Java, Groovy, or object-oriented software development

  • Experience in Oracle Energy & Water products, the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF),  or similar applications is an advantage (e.g. Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M), Customer Cloud Service (CCS), Meter Data Management (MDM))

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to build rapport with team members and clients


 


Responsibilities



  • Convert Technical Design specifications into high quality working code within agreed budgets and time frames.

  • Prepare unit test documentation of scenarios/test cases.  Perform unit testing of programs according to defined process and document actual results.

  • Ensure the quality of one’s own deliverables through adherence to project standards and methodologies. Perform quality assurance reviews of code written by peers or junior developers.

  • Provide support during system testing, user acceptance testing, Go-Live and maintenance support phases.

  • Assist in the clarification and resolution of issues as they arise during the design and development process.

  • Assist in the project team’s release activities and in the review and sign-off of release deliverables.
