The Energy Management Solutions (GMS) Business Unit is seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Test Development Engineer to be part of a highly innovative team that defines, develops, implements, and executes next-generation smart energy management solutions. The Test Development Engineer will work closely with the new product development team to develop and execute embedded systems solutions for both Final Test and Probe and ensure compliance with industry standards.  

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Execute all phases of the development process 

  • Create and implement test plans and procedures 

  • Execute test cases, debug problems, and analyze results 

  • Collaborate with Design for DFT/BIST and other testability features to optimize cost and reduce complexity 

  • Develop innovative hardware/software solutions for Final Test/Probe 

  • As part of a cross-functional team, work closely with Design, System/Software, Eval, FA/Reliability, and Applications teams to solve challenging and complex problems 

  • Serve as a mentor and innovator 

 

Key Qualifications: 

  • BS or MS degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 7yrs or more relevant experience 

  • Hands-on experience in an analog/mixed-signal test development role, preferably with knowledge of precision converters and system on chip (SoC) 

  • Solid Automated Test Equipment (ATE) experience, preferably NI-STS 

  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, C/C++ or relevant experience 

  • Experience in PCB schematic and layout 

  • Effective communication skills
