JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Mastery of general assembler duties within the manufacturing plant, including manual assembly of seat parts, stores duties, leather work, machine operations and preparing and painting of finished parts.
•Assembles and/or installs various electrical and/or mechanical components where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, wire lists, diagrams or previously established shop practices.
•Manage assembler work performance on a daily basis, ensuring all assemblers within the area adhere to company policies/procedures and working instructions/standard work, at all times.
•Lead Production Walk-About Reviews (WAR) Tier 1 on a daily basis.
•Train other assemblers in the standard work and explain requirements and key points.
•Follow production build plan and supervisor instructions.
•Possess a working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety policies, ensuring these are adhered to at all times.
•Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to eliminate. For longer term actions ensure containment is in place. Engage in regular hazard/danger spotting and proactively work to eliminate hazards.
•Conduct ongoing inspection of tooling for worn / damaged parts
•Ensure process problems are thoroughly investigated and all improvements are identified, implemented and documented.
•Conduct daily 5S and standard work audits
•Liaise with a variety of job holders, across a range of departments (e.g. Quality, Engineering, Planning, EH&S etc) and different levels (shop floor through to senior management) for the purpose of giving/receiving information which is vital for the smooth running of operations.
•Give suggestions to Supervisors on how to maximize production operation with focus on safety, quality and productivity.
•Adheres to and participates in all EH&S practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
•Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Generally has 6 years’ of related experience in assembly / production / manufacturing
•At least 2 years technical or vocational course Graduate
•Has a minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience leading a team (acting team lead or actual team lead)
•Has leadership skills, a good communicator both verbal and written English language, with proven ability to train others
•Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience.
•Problem solving skills, e.g. 3Cs.
•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
•Preferably with experience in manufacturing tools techniques (CI, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
•Computer Literate / IT skills, competent with a range of IT packages (e.g. Microsoft packages).
•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
•Has the initiative in work and a good team player
•Be flexible with regards to working hours, environment, and overtime
•Have the ability to meet targets and deadlines
•Willing to be on shifting schedule

Eligibility:
•Must not have any disciplinary case within the past year
•Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan
•With at least a year in his/her current position
•Must have at least a ‘meets expectation’ PM Assessment rating for 2022 up to present (average)
•Willing to travel for training and must have a valid passport
