As part of the system engineering team, you’ll be in charge of implementing, maintaining and consolidating our global server infrastructure hosted in multiple datacenters worldwide acting directly on the business production side. You’ll be handling day to day operations as well as working on challenging projects aimed toward the constant improvement and evolution of our technical environment.
The infrastructure itself represents a motivating challenge: Open source platforms (85%) and proprietary platforms (15%) spread across more than 1500+ servers in 20 data centers worldwide. The system infrastructure consists of multiple server platforms, SAN and NAS storage supporting upward of 20 different financial specific products.
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional Support and strive for 100% uptime
Assists in operation of data center hardware replacement by coordinating with vendors.
Perform system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all server hardware and software, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backup.
Effectively works as a teammate and communicates following the escalation process
Provide 24/5/365 operational support of Broadridge systems as well as be part of a shifting rotation
Handles CRM Ticketing System such as JIRA
Keeps current with industry standard practices and procedures
Assist Level 2 Infrastructure duties and tasks that may be required
Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to highest quality and without impact.
Ticket escalation for existing team and potential customer impacting issues
Ensuring the daily administration of all systems infrastructure
Defining, implementing and maintaining OS and monitoring tools
Analyzing and resolving daily system related incidents
Coordinating the deployment of new hardware to meet client expectations
Creating and continually developing system related policies, procedures and controls
Ensuring adherence to Information Security guidelines
Continually working to improve the quality and uptime of the environments

Your profile:
At least 2 to 3 years of experience with Linux Administration (RedHat, Centos, Fedora) with experience working in a data center environment or equivalent IT background required
Good experience with LDAP, SFTP, LVM, NTP, BIND, DNS and Active Directory
Bonus skills: Knowledge in Bash, Awk or Perl scripting regular expressions
Windows Server administration experience is good to have
University degree (bachelor / license) or equivalent technical school certification
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, 24x5x365 coverage, including holidays and weekends
Must possess excellent written and verbal skills in English, exhibit professional etiquette
Motivated, hard working and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work under extreme pressure
Good understanding of the risks and potential impact of working on a 24/7 live environment
