Underwriting Assistant (Verita)

The Role

Technical Underwriting

• To assist the underwriter in the renewal process for policy/account renewals.


• Review and forward with Verita all new and renewal business submissions from brokers and ascertain that all required information is provided, in case of missing


• information, contact the Broker via email or phone call.


• Assist the underwriter in pricing the risk, rating the policy premium and preparing the quote and binder.


• To review the policy for accuracy in comparison with the binder, send the reviewed policy to broker within the required time frame; Also coordinate with Veritas in case of query or rectification of policy. 


• Assist WTW NA Centers National Accounting Center (NAC) on any questions or problems in connection with premium payment plans/installment plans.

General/Product Support

• To assist the Verita Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Legal in typing/proofing policy forms, endorsements and other documents.

The Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree


• Experience with commercial insurance or property and casualty insurance underwriting.


• Experience working Carriers, Insurers, Brokers, and Underwriters.


• Attention to detail.


• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• Interpersonal skills.


• Data interpretation


• Proficient in MS office


• Experience insurance broking a must


• Preferred CISR, AICPCU or CII certified
