The client is well-regarded in the Australian insurance market for its underwriting integrity, client-first approach, and responsive service, allowing employees to take pride in the work they do. The team is currently expanding and currently hiring Underwriting Support Assistant to be based in Manila, Phillippines to be a part of the dynamic team!

This position is daily onsite and based in BGC, Manila - work hours are 6am to 3pm, Manila time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Insurance Transactions – Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, certificates of currency, and claims histories as provided by the underwriting team.
  • Client & Document Management – Manage client debtors, follow up on outstanding actions or documents, and upload files to internal and external systems.
  • Support & Coordination – Respond to requests from the onshore team and check policy documentation for accuracy.
  • Process Improvement – Suggest and help implement improvements to workflows and keep procedures up to date.
  • Industry Awareness – Stay informed about trends and updates in the Australian insurance market.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • MUST have 2–3 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally with exposure to Australian insurance or insurance broking.
  • Strong administration skills, preferably gained in the financial or insurance sector.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well independently and in a team
  • Experience working with offshoring or outsourcing firms is a plus.
