Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, manage vendor relationships, and maintain compliance with policies and regulations. Your role is crucial in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting a dynamic, growing business environment.

Job Overview

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests promptly. Ensure all invoices are coded and authorized correctly for payment.
  
• Payment Management: Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Reconcile payments with invoices to ensure accuracy.
  
• Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors. Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
  
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Update and manage the accounts payable ledger and files.
  
• Reconciliation: Assist with monthly reconciliations of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, accounting principles, and regulations.
  
• Reporting: Prepare and assist with reports related to accounts payable, such as aging reports and payment summaries.
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

• Strong attention to detail with accurate input skills.
  
• Proficiency in computing skills, including Outlook, Excel, and cloud-based accounting systems (preferably SAP Business ByDesign).
  
• Self-starter with a proactive work ethic and a willingness to provide support as needed.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in German or French is an advantage.
  
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a growing business.
