Description

As an Assistant Distribution Center Manager, you will be responsible in leading the execution of the receipt, storage, retrieval, and distribution of RGFC products/finished goods in the Distribution Center. Also, you will be responsible in ensuring the achievement of the desired inventory levels in alignment with customer service or internal user requirements with the ultimate objective to serve the orders in full and on-time at least possible cost.



Responsibilities

DISTRIBUTION CENTER MANAGEMENT

  1. Leads the day-to-day activities of the Distribution Center in a leading role or assisting the DC Manager, if any.
  2. Leads the seamless execution of the customer/Distributor orders from printing of SO up to the final loading and of the stock transfers; ensures that released/received stocks are in accordance to the agreed lead time and set specifications (i.e., description in Withdrawal Slip/Delivery Receipt and acceptable excess quantity of delivered product versus ordered quantity).
  3. Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized manner, so that its quality is maintained and accessibility is achieved.
  4. Establishes and implements loading schedule that would ensure proper and efficient stock transfers within the Distribution Center in collaboration with Supply Planning Analyst.
  5. Reviews and submits the following reports: Expiration Date Monitoring Report, Stock Transfer Report, Critical Stocks Report, Hold Products Report, Discrepancy Report, Non-moving Products Monitoring Report, Daily Time Record/SKU, etc.
  6. Leads the implementation of distribution center storage systems and procedures to obtain maximum use of space and storage areas and to ensure correct rotation of stock based on Good Warehousing Practices (i.e., First In, First Out).
  7. Executes the planned warehouse space capacity, recommends and implements new design layouts that would streamline the storage and retrieval of goods, and conducts inspection of equipment to maintain good physical condition of the distribution center.
  8. Oversees coordination with Trucking Management, Order Management, Sales Management, distributors/customers, and Satellite FG Warehouse to determine appropriate hauling/loading schedule, reconcile withdrawal slip/delivery receipt discrepancies, shortages or over shipments, or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions, if necessary.
  9. Coordinates with other DC Leads to confer about products, shipping times, distribution issues, and other concerns.

SUPPLY AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  1. Supervises and/or records through an inventory control system, the receipt, storage, and distribution of RGFC products/finished goods in the Distribution Center.
  2. Implements and maintains inventory management strategies for all finished goods in the Distribution Center through regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. reorder point, safety stock level, required days on hand, warehouse capacity, ABC categorization, etc.).
  3. Monitors and analyzes inventory trends and schedule, coordinates and expedites movement of stock from Satellite companies to Distribution Center to ensure availability at all times.
  4. Tracks inventory days on hand level on a regular basis to ensure stock sufficiency at all times.
  5. Identifies and manages potential inventory obsolescence (FIFO, non/slow moving, damage stocks, near expired, expired, etc.) to minimize write-offs.
  6. Reviews issue/s on out of stock or shortage (from company and/or to the customers) of finished goods supply and recommends mitigating action plan.
  7. Coordinates with Supply Planning Analyst with regard to discrepancies and errors in the supply chain process.
  8. Ensures provision of the following reports to Supply Network Planning: withdrawal reports, BO, DC Stock Position (inventory level), stock replenishment and inventory report, etc.
  9. Addresses logistical problems and recommends solutions to issues in close coordination with Supply Network Planning.
  10. Establishes and monitors security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
  11. Recommends enhancements in systems and processes.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  1. Sets viable objectives and KPIs, and recommends/develops measurement methodology.
  2. Leads people/organization development in areas of performance and capability development (performance improvement, training, capacity) & performance evaluation.Β 
  3. Conducts training needs and competencies assessment and develops programs to address identified gaps.
  4. Monitors and evaluates performance and efficiency of direct reports/staff.Β 


Qualifications
  • Graduate of Business Administration or any related course.Β 
  • With at least 2- 3 years work experience in a Supervisory position, preferably in Warehouse and Inventory Management roles for a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company
  • Must be knowledgeable in SAP
  • With advanced skills in Inventory Management, Distribution Center Management, Data Analysis and Management, Order Management, Continuous Process Improvement, and Technology Application
  • Willing to be assigned anywhere in Luzon
