SUMMARY DESCRIPTION


Sequoia is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll support our marketing department in organizing and tracking opportunities, assisting with proposals, and helping develop our online presence. Our ideal candidate will bring strong writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a calm, steady approach to handling multiple tasks. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who works independently, contributes to the team, and improves processes through communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support complex opportunity tracking database maintenance, including real-time review of email chains for status updates and important action items.
  • Assistance with proposal coordination, including meeting and document support, preparation of forms, tracking of team members’ follow-up items, and compilation of relevant qualifications.
  • Prepare and maintain Sequoia’s social media calendar and assist with content creation and collaboration with team members. Preparation of graphics using InDesign templates and tools like Canva.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop promotional materials and manage client lists.
  • Help organize and maintain marketing files and content libraries, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Support business development and client relationship management systems and processes.
  • Track conference opportunities and assist with logistical planning for exhibits and presentations.
  • Maintain strong communications with team members on work status for a variety of tasks to support the Sequoia team.

Have these Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Mandatory experience playing a key role in developing and implementing social media calendars and posts for a corporate organization. Experience using programs including
  • Hootsuite, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to support social media efforts.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • An eye for detail and a dedication to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database tools like Airtable and Deltek.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • An associate’s degree in a related field (marketing, English, business, environmental sciences) is a plus!
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
