THE OPPORTUNITY
Our partner, a well-established provider of insurance broking and risk management solutions with over 28 years of experience in Perth, is looking for a dedicated Broker Assistant. This role involves providing essential support to the Account Director in managing existing portfolios within the SME team, focusing on policy management, the renewal process, and claims management.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality service while thriving in a collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with another Assistant Account Executive, fostering teamwork and mutual support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to inquiries and requests from the Account Director.
- Process new business, renewals, and policy maintenance to ensure high-quality service for clients and insurers.
- Engage in professional development activities as outlined in the training plan to maintain RG 146 compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, legal requirements, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Maintain knowledge of clientsβ industries, businesses, and associated risks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and others outside formal authority to achieve organizational goals.
- Keep management informed about work status and respect the contributions of others.
- Support the implementation of the organization's vision and values.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Broker Assistant or anything related.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and similar applications
- Familiarity with Insight and Sunrise is advantageous.Β
- Experience working with Australian or New Zealand clients is preferred
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
